I went and saw 'Music and Lyrics' last weekend, and I actually liked it! I usually have no use whatsoever for romantic comedies, but this was very funny, with lots of dry British one-liners from Hugh Grant. And since you went through the 80's like I did, you'll appreciate his character.

M&L does look like a funny movie. *g* I saw the previews at other movies and was like "OMG! That's Hugh Grant as one of the band members!" and laughed hysterically. I'm not a huge HG fan, but I do like him in Notting Hill and Love Actually, so think I could tolerate him in this one, too. *bg* Plus, he dances! LOL Thanks for the rec! *hugs*

Okay, random:

-Mandy Moore is awesome. She doesn't go for the obvious movies, she likes her black humor and I love her for it.

-Casanova was not that good. If you want a good version, get the three-hour BBC miniseries with Peter O'Toole and David Tennant. It's very naughty.

-I'm gonna have to see that movie. Robert Carlyle and John Goodman in one film? Nice!

Oh, I wasn't complaining about Mandy. Far from it. She has an awesome singing voice. It's just that the scenes did feel thrown in to showcase that. *shrug* *g*

I've heard of this 3-hr David Tennant 'Casanova'. *reminds self to look for it at the video store* Thanks for the rec!

You should definitely see MHBD&CS! Robert Carlyle, John Goodman, Marisa Tomei, Donnie Wahlberg, Adam Arkin, Mary Steenburgen, and so many other character actors that I enjoy! Definitely worth a look.

Ahh yes, that tends to happen in your average Mandy Moore film. It bugs me too ;).

I'll definitely check it out, thanks! And yeah, David Tennant is all kinds of awesome in whatever he does, and this is no exception :D, hehe.
