another reason 2009 sucks ass

My cat, Frank, is dying. He has cancer. I talked with the docs today. He's had radiation and chemo. Basically anything they do from now on will extend the quality of his life, but in the end, his cancer won't be cured. He's almost 9. I am devastated. Everything is falling apart and falling away from me. I don't know what to do.

I felt the same way when my cat started having liver failure, and there was nothing the vets could do to help him. I never realized how strongly my soul was linked to my beloved pet. I don't know if you're going to make the decision to put him down or not, but I honestly think pets are aware that they are dying. And knowing that you loved him dearly would be the best way to go for any pet. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Things will get better.
