My New Years post

Well, this New Years there was a Blue moon. But did anyone notice? My mom sure as hell did. O, did I mention she's pagan? So she went outside to draw down the moon and invoke the goddess. (Invoke, not evoke. As she kept pointing out.) So now she's acting like she kows everything and like she controls the world around her. I'm just waiting for her ( Read more... )

That sort of thing can be extremely irritating. A few members of my family are Christian, and it's kind of difficult for me to understand where they're coming from. It isn't that I don't respect their beliefs more than I just... don't get it. Very rarely do they shove their beliefs down my throat though, so I am glad about that. But whenever we discuss religion, they always sort of treat me as the 'one who knows nothing', which I find sort of insulting.

Especially since my brother apparently has something against gays, which just makes me angry.

My favorite person in the world was my grandfather. And he was a church of chirst Preacher. When he found out my mother was pagan, he didn't care. He just told her that all he wanted was for her to be happy.

But then again, he also told me once that he thought some of the rules laid down by "God" where miss-understood by men. He always told me that as long as I was a good person there was a place for me in heaven. My aunt's gay, and though papa didn't know before he died I know he would have been ok with it.

And I can understand gay haters annoying you. My sisters boyfriend hates gay men, just because he thinks it's gross. It ticks me off greatly but I treat it the same way I treat my family. Bite my tounge and smile.

O man! I remember when my mother got my best friend at the time into Wicca! He thought she was this all powerful being, until he started really researching the basics of it all. It was kind of sad yet funny to watch him during all that.

I was raised pagan, but I have found myself more fond of Agnosticism. Though my mother repeatedly tells me that I'm still pagan. I think I laughed until I cried when she said I couldn't be atheist because I would end up killing myself. Or that I couldn't be christain becauses that would make me evil.

And pagan used to mean someone who lives in the country. So I guess I am one. XD

No, she hates Sylvia Brown. My great sunt loves her and my mom call Sylvia a stupid fat whore everytime where visiting. She think that she makes real psychics, like my mother, look like conartists.

And I have to give her credit... she learn paganism from her aunt. (Not the Sylvia fan, the other one.) And she used to be really cool about it. But having 6 kids kind of made her crazy and stupid. XD

And no, I like long comments. Yours made me laugh a lot. lol
