I miss P&P.

I have lost my Pride and Prejudice movie(the 4 hour long, BBC one with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle). It's gone. I've looked everywhere it could be three times and several places it couldn't be twice- under furniture and everything. I can't find it. It's a two disc box set! One would think it would be hard to lose. Clearly, some thief with a taste ( Read more... )

Thanks! Yeah, I love her.

I really want to reread Dreamland and This Lullaby sometime.

I do, actually. Haha.
Dreamland was the first Sarah Dessen book I read, and I haven't reread it since. It the most intense of her books, I think. I borrowed Lock and Key from a friend and we started talking about her earlier books and it reminded me of how much I loved them.

ACH! Sucks about losing Pride and Prejudice-that's one of my favorite movies. Hope you find it soon!

And rollercoasters are terrifying! You can't get me onto one for love or money.

I know, what is it with the WB? Where's that trailer?! (Bet you at least one kiss is in it)

Thanks, me too. It's hasn't appeared yet.

Seriously, what's the hold up? The movie comes out in November.

Oh yeah. There'll definitely be kissing. If not in the teaser, the theatrical trailer for sure. Sounds like from the interviews and stuff that they are going to stretch out the H/G relationship, and make it a more central part of the plot. They keep calling it a romantic comedy-- that concerns me a little. The second half of HBP? Absolutely not a romantic comedy.

I think I might like more Harry/Ginny. I thought the book was a little lacking on that front (although Harry's conversations with himself on why he shouldn't date her are made of win)...still, I vastly preferred the second part of the book to the first and yeah, definitely not romantic comedy material there (I think I'm most looking forward to the scene where he and Malfoy duel, especially if they bookend it with that kids duel they had in the second movie).

So, out of curiosity, how come you're not screening comments anymore?

I like Harry/Ginny, but I think it will kind of come out of nowhere in the movies. There's been a lot of harmonie in the films. I'm just afraid Dumbledore's death isn't going to resonate like it should(i don't think it will, his and Harry's relationship is so different in the movies). Rumor has it, they cut the funeral out of the movie. I need to reread books six and seven.

Ooooh. The duel in the bathroom. That could be amazing if they do it right. Especially with Alan Rickman(Snape)- he's awesome.

When I got the layout it automatically screened them, I got tired of it and unscreened them. There wasn't a particular reason they were screened.

I know the feeling. I have missplaced a book of Pierre de Ronsard's poems. It's in French and I have my translationswritten out with them. One of my translatiuons was really goodand my french teacher talked to me about the possibility of translating French literary works into English. I can't find that book. I'm buying a new one, but it will probably have English translations and no French. We'll see. Hopefully I can find the French, or just a good website with Ronsard's collected poetry. *sigh* Drive you crazy, doesn't it?

Yes.! I don't know where else it could be.

I'm so sorry about your book. That's awful; I hope you find it!
