Title: "Last Kiss" Author:luvvycat Characters: Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Jack Sparrow Rating: PG Prompt: Goal Word count: 100 Disclaimer: PotC is Disney's, not mine. *sniff*
Unfortunately, he won't ... until Jack spills the beans about what Elizabeth did, in AWE! (Don't know if he was any happier with the truth, though ... learning that his fiancee was an aspiring murderess. Of course, by that time, Will already had his own plans in the works to double-cross Jack, by conspiring with Sao Feng to take the Black Pearl from him... so, "peas in a pod" perhaps?). ;-)
Thanks so much for reading, and for your Comment! :-)

Oh yes. It took a bit longer than Liz, but Dear William also got in touch with his Inner Pirate. IMO, his is the most interesting character arc of the series.
He thinks he sees clearly for the first time, but it's just the reverse, the truth is far more complicated.
It always is, isn't it?
Poor Will.
Yes ... such pain this one misperception has caused him! That's always the risk when one jumps to conclusions... (Though, actually, from a Sparrabeth perspective, his impression of Jack/Elizabeth wanting one another is true -- though... my own fanfics notwithstanding... I'm not certain Elizabeth would ever have acted upon it, while she was committed to Will!) ;-)
Great response to the prompt.
Thank you, ma'am! This one's been kicking around in the back of my head for a while now, only waiting for the right prompt to bring it out into the light. :-)
Though I might not necessarily like Will, I think this is exactly what went through his mind.
Yes, easy to see him trying to "connect the dots" and make sense of what he just saw ... and reaching the conclusions that he did. (Of course, Will hit the nail right on the head, IMO, in regard to the mutual wanting between Jack and Elizabeth. But he's missing a few pieces of the puzzle about the rest...) ;-)
Great story.
Thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed, and took the time to Comment! Much appreciated! :-)
Clever clever deducing by our boy Will. Amazing what tricks your mind can raise when you see just a snippet of behavior and then try to make sense of it. Lovely bit of mean work by a frustrated mind and well put together in your telling. Like this tho' it's harsh and hard on all involved. Good one miz Luvvy! Bright and shiny as your usual standard.

And what must have he made of the fact that it was clearly Elizabeth kissing Jack, not the other way around? One can imagine his mind scrambling to find a way to lay the blame at Jack's doorstep, not his own fiancee's. It would never have occurred to him that Elizabeth could be so deceitful as to deliberately lure a man to his death, and then lie about it after.
Far easier for Will to believe ill of Jack, particularly after the Dutchman incident...

Yes, this one incident caused all three of the principals a world of suffering, all for different reasons.
Glad you liked it, despite it's rather dark tone. :-)

If only though. *sigh* I won't lie.

"If only" indeed! Such romantic J/E possibilities, never pursued by TPTB! *Sigh* :-(
Again, wonderfully done.
Thanks so much for reading, and your kind comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :-)
