Oooh!! How was Sean Astin's book!?!? I seriously thought about getting it several times. I just re-read Anthony Rapp's (Mark from Rent and various other movies) book. It's a Memoir of his life. It's called crap.. umm..I don't remember and the book isn't sitting right in front of me LOL :) I think it's called oh crap I gotta go dig it out LOL..."Without You A Memoir of love, loss, and the Musical Rent"
haha!! I didn't know he wrote a book. I love him, so I might have to check that out!!
I really liked Sean's book. The first few chapters talked about him growing up in the business and things he was going through in his life. Then the rest of the book was about his experience on LOTR. I'd definitely recommend it to Sean Astin fans moreso than LOTR fans...if that makes sense :)
Yes! The Grapes of Wrath was one of my favorite books that I read that year. I enjoyed it soooo very much more than I thought I would!!
As for The Phantom of the Opera, I had read the book right before I saw the movie, and liked the book much more. I think it took about 50 or 75 pages for me to really get into the story, but I liked how it was written and all the details that were left out of the movie.
all the others you asked about I'll just put in a post so i can explain them a little bit. :)

Would you recommend #4, #8, #26, #29 and #31?
The Grapes of Wrath is one of the best books I've ever read. I just bought a copy so that I could read it again.
I have Phantom of the Opera on my bookshelf. It's been there for almost three years, and I still haven't read it.
