(also, this is over 13K words and 27 pages on Microsoft Word, so probably more than one post.)

You forgot 7th Heaven, LOTS of spanking potential in the first two seasons alone.

True true! They had a lot of kids running around and they certainly could have done better raising them, but I doubt Eric Camden would pull through. He was much more a man of talk than of action. (And you are certainly right that more than enough chances presented themselves.) Annie Camden though, she had potential, but there is only so much a mother of 7 can do!
