Indoor yellow lighting, I hate yooooooooooooooooooou!!!! Or maybe my skills with it just suck. That's probably it.

In any case, I took a gazillion pictures of Amelia tonight (she had her first shed!) and the best I could get were these:

Those look great! Thank you! I do have Photoshop, and actually I 'shopped these before posting them. Haha. I played with adjusting auto levels and curves on some, where I brightened them. What technique did you use? I've always wanted to learn more about photo editing.

Hehehe.. back when I did A muffin story, one of the people on my friends list who's all well versed in photography and photoshop and whatnot (which I am DEFINITELY not) did this for me-

I love that its step by step with screen caps. I'm so not good at learning when people just tell me what to do.

Anyways, its my favourite photoshop trick now. Other than using that to adjust the yellow, I sharpened the focus on the snakey and used the blur tool to add softness to the background at 50%.

Hope that tutorial helps! If she hadn't clued me in, I would have had no idea. Now I have special lights and stuff, so I don't use it as often with my food, but with other stuff its super helpful.

OOO, I'll check that out! My entry is edited with your pics now. Thanks! Actually, I'm about to post pics of Pierre with similar problems, since they were also taken last night. If you aren't super busy making delectable treats...maybe you could take a look at those too? ;^)

They're the 9 here:

Aww she's all buttery and precious!!

aww I wish I could take pics of Ickers like this! I'm pretty sure the second I tried to grab my camera, he'd use the opportunity to slither off into some corner, never to be found! D:

Is he still really skittish? :^\

yeah :( He snapped at my face the other day while I was handling him. It was weird because he didn't give me any warning (tail flicking, hissing or whatever) and I think it was because I smelled like ferrets (I had been handling one a few hours previously) OR maybe he was hungry (says my roommate). Also, whenever I come near or open his tank and freaks and skitters under anything he can fit under.
Our relationship is going through a few "bumps" right now. But I love him and want to make it work so bad! lol I sound like a desperate girl friend. He probably just needs his "space".

Oh no!! How often have you been handling him? A yearling should be used to people already. I don't think he would snap out of hunger; corns don't really get aggressive like that, so I think the ferret theory is a good one.

The only cure for his fear of you is to hold him more often. It will pass. =)
