Is it to much for me to ask to work somewhere that tells its employees things when they happen instead of much latter? Or to have a boss (Oh wait... that hasn't been announced yet) that not only use correct grammer and puncuation, but to fuckin use spell check?

Or wait... how about to be trained correctly!?!  That might be a good place to start.

You need to move out of your department before you start the "bitter, unhappy Shane downward-work-spiral". You know what I'm talking about.

I'm thinking company.

Not department move but company move.

well ya know... some industries, and some jobs types, will inevitably lead you down this path.

what do you wanna be when you grow up? :P

Oh like half of the planet I am not sure.

Meh...

I just figured I would run in to it in life, but apparently that is uber flawed thinking and not going to happen.

you are correct, sir. it isn't going to happen. :)

if you bop from company to company and job to job, just chasing a paycheck and not paying attention to what you really want to do with your career and life, then you'll always hate your working life with maybe brief periods of time when things seem to be going ok. if you do manage to figure out what you really want to do, and then start on a long-term plan to get there, you'll be so much happier you won't believe you ever lived any other way.

i keep telling you kids this yet you never believe me until it actually happens. :)

this whole 40 thing is very funny to me! i'm so... crochety. lol.

Oh I know.

I had a job that I was quite happy with until they decided to close 20% of their stores and now I am here. Grr...

My plan does involve going back to school getting a degree or sumthin, I just don't know what I want to do.

Ideally I could be creative, have a flexible schedule (I choose the hours I work if they are other than the normal biz day, not random someone else chooses if you work weekends all the damn time), probably puter based, close to home in the downtown area, something that may let me travel on occasion and something that is fulfilling.

Grr... maybe I should just be part of SPD's animal precinct and beat those who beat animals.

I need to do some serious soul searching and decide what I want to do with my life and hop on it. Maybe I should just go with my previous, High School to damn near 2 to 3 years ago goal of being a puter programmer.
