Was watching Stephen Fry in America and while he was passing through Ohio he brought up the Kent State Massacre and the song written about it Ohio by Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young.

Kent State is just down the road from me so the paper's around always run an article of the remember of the day and there are makers on the main campus where it took

the saddest realization about the massacre when I was going to Kent is the fact that the Remembrance Day is huge party weekend, because they give the students the friday off and it's right before finals.

Also, it was sad to find out that the parking lot where the students were shot, is still a parking lot. It took years of fighting for them to even mark off the parking spots where each student died. Other than the markers, there is also a sculpture that still has a bullet hole through it, which is kind of a strange, sad marker in place.
