I placed an order a while back for a couple portfolios and an item on backorder at pfile.com. Didn't need the backordered item right away and I could wait for it. So I did.

Today I received a phone call from the company telling me that the maker of the backordered item was being discontinued and that pfile.com was not going to charge my credit card

Very cool. Coming from someone in the retail industry, good customer service is always great to see. No co-worker will be beating said person over the head later!

Dreamspinner Press is another one...I bought some books yesterday and the computer froze in the middle of my order and somehow I ended up with a duplicate order - I e-mailed them and within 24 hours had a response e-mail indicating that the duplicate order was cancelled and I would be getting a credit on my credit card. I was very pleased!
