Ugh, how annoying! What kind of position are you wanting to get into or have applied for?

I have noticed that completely switching careers is more difficult when compared to folks already in those positions. A lot of people that go to B-school are already in marketing, have had marketing experience, or are managers which makes it easier for them to get into the desired marketing/manager positions.

Perhaps I could help, since I'm currently in marketing. Let me know if you need anything or any advice from the marketing field! :-)

why don't you lie about your experience?

just change your software experience to marketing experience, and when confronted with the unknown in the new company, just say that your previous company did it completely differently... but you are more than happy to learn.
