Do fanfics that are crossovers with myths count?

I've referred to myths and religions quite a few times in my fics. Tandava contains references to Hindu mythology and the title comes from Shiva's tandava dance where he destroys and recreates the world (I thought it was very apt, as he's also the god of Time).
