Though far from home, the weather is becoming tolerable as winter approaches. Hiking is unlikely, but coolness alone can offer some comfort. How often will it snow?

Summer is far too miserable here. Too hot. Too much sun. Once winter comes, it would be nice! The snow to fall, though not too much, to cover up everything again. Is beautiful when it does, da?

Yes. Winter provides beauty n' an appreciation for the warmth n' comfort of a good home.
