i don't keep up with a lot of how current events affect the market and the butterfly effects trickle down on the economy in general - but i hated the thought of bailing out one company in general versus helping the homeowners not default on their mortgages.
but i do wonder if a portion of what happened with some of these mortgages could have been avoided if people were simply willing to live within their means.
it is sad, we're all going to have to pay for this for a long time now.
