Is anyone else thinking that maybe a space ship full of pirates flying around out there might not be such a good thing? I mean the captain guy seemed to be slightly better toward the end, but there's the matter of his entire crew, too, who by definition of being pirates are not exactly nice people ready to do good deeds ( Read more... )

That epsiode last night bugged the hell out of me! In the end I was just shouting at the TV - nooooooo! If they could stop people touching the spooky lady by hanging onto them, why didn't they just hang onto the victims? Why was Rory dying when there was nothing wrong with him? Why did the holo doctor think everybody was ill? Why was the Doctor so bleeding useless, why did Pond give up on the CPR? Why was this so inconsistent and awful!!!???

And where was River?

I think perhaps we are just spoiled by the first couple of eps this season and now expect great things every time. Which is not the way of a show that operated with a cracker jack budget for most of its existence. But I think Rory was drowning because the went into the water. No idea why she would think that. Hyperactive sensitivity to illness and injury out of boredom? Dunno. CPR is only effective I think less than 10% of the time so I don't really think it was that weird that she gave up, but then again she gave up and most people keep doing it even when they know there is no hope so yeah, I agree it was weird in that way. Mostly I thought it was pretty entertaining and took a break from what we all know is going to be more srs bzns stuff coming up. It wasn't my favorite episode, but I liked it well enough. Although yeah, miss River when she is away :(
