Daddy-o on henna-dyed hair? Any other shampoo suggestions?

I LOVE the scent of Bathos, so when I heard a shampoo had it's scent I was intrigued.  I should have asked here first but after reading some of the reviews I was curious so bought the small bottle online--maybe not a good idea but we shall see.  I'm also open to other suggestions.

I heard it can lighten hair a little, which would be awesome as the ( Read more... )

I like Daddyo, but I don't think it smells like Bathos. They're both violet, but to me Bathos is a lot spicier.

I've heard that most Lush shampoos can fade dyed hair (not sure if this applies to henna as well as chemical dyes). I don't know if Daddyo would fade it any more than other shampoos. I think the idea behind Daddyo was that it would tint light colored hair purple/blue to make it look whiter (like bluing does for white laundry), but I have no idea what it would do for darker hair.

If you're trying to lighten your hair a bit, have you considered using honey to do so? A mixture of honey, distilled water and spices can lighten hair and I think it's safe for henna-ed hair.
There's lots of discussion and recipes for it here: http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=148

I have no idea about Daddy-O, but alternating Jumping Juniper and New (and conditioning with Veganese) used to be my favorite combination ever for my oily hair. My hair isn't quite as oily as yours, but maybe give them a shot? JJ is Retro though, if that makes a difference.

Veganese would likely strip your hair, because of the lemons.

I use Rehab for my oily hair and I love it. I also love Seanik, but you mentioned that you've tried it.
