Sandstone review: I am not sure why it has taken so long for me to use this but after a few days with it I am in love. As soon as I take it out it fills the shower with a lemon drop smell. It has great lather which surprosed me because of all the sand. The sand is REALLY exfoliating, I can see why some people say it is too harsh, but it has made my ( Read more... )

I LOVE sandstone, it's almost completely cured my body-acne issues. My SO also loved it and it feels so nice on ones back due to the sand. The smells is also wonderful, I feel like it doesn't get as much credit as it deserves--a lot of the reviews online are pretty bad.

I love scrubs, but it's so much cheaper to make them at home, they'e so easy to make and since everyone is different it's much better when you can make it to your own specs. I use white sugar and olive oil, and mix in things like coffee grounds depending on what mood I'm in. It's nice because you can make a lot or a little, and a little goes a long way.

My SO has really badback acne, I have him useing mudflaps right now, but maybe I could share some of my sandstone.

So far, I have tried ALOT of lush's soaps and sandstone is the only one I require to have at all times.

I totally just did a white sugar and olive oil scrub tonight! I feel so soft and I hope this helps with the super itchy skin I've been having lately. Winter weather is so cruel. :(

You should hurry I think they are dis-continuing it. I just bought a huge block of it at the store so I can stay stocked up for a while.

sandstone gets no love. i think the sugar scrubs are a waste of money, they're just made of things i could get out of my cabinet.

I won't buy sugar scrubs from most people, either. (Not just the Lush ones, any of them that are basically just sugar in oils.) Too easy to make yourself, and I don't use it often enough that I care if it has a yummy scent. :)

(Now a gentle scrub in a foaming base, that I will try.)

I LOVE Sandstone, though. I normally can't use Lush soaps because they're too drying, but I keep a bar of Sandstone for when my hands are particularly gross (like if I've been chopping onions) and one for my feet because just a quick scrub with the sandy part every shower seems to keep them pretty nice without too much fuss. :)

For the gentle scrub in a foaming base, have you tried Villainess and their smack product? I've been using way less Lush (mostly just the haircare now) since I discovered them. I like their scents better too on the whole, at least than Lush's newer ones.
