Darn...

So after 3 days of using the Aromacreme, last night my 'pits were pretty sore and bright red (especially in the creases of the armpit). I thought i'd been removing the lychee bits properly (basically when i applied it i flicked the brown chunks off my skin) but apparently you actually have to pick them out before you apply it. I washed it off last ( Read more... )

That sounds like a hell of a lot of work to do just to apply deodorant...

My advice is, switch to aromaco. It's much much gentler on the skin, and is the one I always use after shaving my underarms as it is actually quite cooling/soothing, so give that ago instead. And there's no need to "pick bits out", either...!!

Well, i used Aromaco today... no irritation at all, but i absolutely REEK. The patchouli is kinda "musty" anyway, and i think its quite a sweaty smell in itself, but i've re-applied it twice already today and i still stink. Patchouli + sweat = GAG lol... i guess im going to keep trying ways to use the aromacreme because that does kill the smell.

Aromaco with Coconut over the top is really lovely, smells sweet and is really gentle.

It may not be the lychee. Every Lush deodorant I've tried has left me with firepits, other than the dusting powders. Which made me sad, because I really love the fragrance of Aromarant.

Me too, and I have never had allergic reactions to any other Lush products.

Yup, same here.

I'm not sure it's an allergic reaction so much as it is contact dermatitis caused by one or more of the ingredients (the difference having to do with histamine reactions versus chemical irritation). All I know is that when I stopped using the deodorants, the rash went away.
