I've had no issues with using a dye over the henna. I have gone from henna to black and back to henna more times than I can count.

how long do you wait, out of curiousity? I waited about 6 months.

A long as it takes for my roots to show.

good to know!

I've been doing glazes instead of henna now (to cover my pre-mature grey at the old age of 25) simply because of the time, but if I have more time, I might go back to henna.

I'd let it fade naturally for a bit if you want the noir to have an impact.
I only henna my hair (half-rouge/half-brun) every few months at most. Not much help, sorry!

More than you'll ever need to know about henna. ;)

I've both bleached and dyed over my Lush henna-ed hair. No ill effects at all. In fact, I get the most awesome vibrant orange-red by bleaching and then using the henna.

I would say try again with Noir over it to get a darker effect, that's usually how it's supposed to work anyway if the application isn't the desired effect.
