I need help!

Hey everyone! I'm a relatively new Lushie, and I'd appreciate some advice... I first discovered Lush while living in London for a month this summer. While there, I fell completely in love with Skin Sin and Flying Fox (oh, if I had known the lotion and temple balm were to be discontinued, I would have collected all of my spare coins and stocked up ( Read more... )

I haven't ever used it but I hear aquamarina is gentler than AOBS, it's got calamine and aloe. it's only good for 3 months though, so you would have to get more before the semester is out.

My BF has similar skin and he uses fresh farmacy which has the calamine too, and he's used cosmetic lad and ultralight moisturizers, both are pretty good and didn't make him break out more, I would say cosmetic lad is a bit more soothing.

good luck!! :)

Thank you! It's good to hear that Fresh Farmacy has worked for him.

I have oily, breakout-prone skin, and I love Coalface. =D I use Coalface in the morning and AOBS at night and my skin has never looked better!

Thanks! I've been looking at Coalface, but I'm terrified that it'll keep me too dry... and AOBS makes the texture amazing, but too oily. My skin is so picky! Maybe a combo is the right solution...

I have oily t-zone (which gets dry when the mood strikes it) and dry cheeks. I've found the best mix for me has been AOBS (but not everyday) and celestial to moisturize (again, not every day and a very small amount). This keeps my skin as soft and happy as it has ever been.

Hmm... the AOBS does great things for my skin, but it's a little too oily. Maybe I should try a combination of two cleansers. Your skin sounds quite a bit like mine, so thank you for your advice!

Pick up a godiva shampoo bar and a jasmin and henna fluff ease for that yummy FF smell!

Thanks!

Also, I LOVE your icon... is that your rabbit? I have a Netherland Dwarf that's pretty much my best friend. :)

Bunny (yes, I got pretty creative with the name ;) loves to snuggle... on the rare occasion that he's in the mood to sit still. Otherwise he's busy throwing things and chewing on my apartment.

I would LOVE to find him a rabbit friend, but he has such a temper! I don't see him putting up with anyone else. Case in point- one of his favorite activities is spinning his earthenware dish, and then throwing it onto the marble stone. To wake me up because he's hungry.

Sounds like your skin is just like mine used to be. I use Coalface daily and two or three times a week I use Ocean Salt. For moisturising I use Imperialis and I also use the Eau Roma Water toner. Then a couple times a week I use the Mask Of Magnaminty. I don't live close enough to a store to get the fresh face masks, but the MOM is wonderful. All of it has done seriously AMAZING things for my skin. I still have a few old acne scars, but I haven't had a breakout in over a year. In fact, I think I have had only 2 or three zits total in the last year. It took about 2 weeks before I saw a huge change, but it was seriously worth it. I used to be so embarrassed at how my face looked.
Good luck!!

I've been leaning towards Coalface, but I'm worried it'll be too drying. Have you ever had that problem with it? Or with Imperialis being too oily? Sorry for all of the questions, I'm just grateful that I can ask for advice from people that have actually used the products.

I might start out with Coalface and then add as my skin needs it... I'm always excited to try masks and toners, but it tends to like simplicity. We'll see. Thanks for your help!
