Mud flats seems to get a lot of credit here and it sounds like a good thing to try.
It always seemed to make sense: controlling break-outs on the face and back should come from the same school. I wash, tone and moisturize my face everyday and do a mask a few times a week for a month- I should treat my back the same.
Beside Lush products...you sound like a candidate for Accutane. I took it and it worked SO well, but apparently I got off it too soon because mine came back :(
I agree with accutane, but only as the LAST resort. Low dose of antibiotics (specifically for acne) would probably be the next route to take. For me this cleared up all of my body acne, but not my face acne.
Is it possible that you have undiagnosed food allergies? If you're eating things your body can't digest, odds are it will try to excrete the perceived toxins through the skin. Ask me how I know. :/

I took it and it worked SO well, but apparently I got off it too soon because mine came back :(
