Having had something of a bad day yesterday, I went into Brighton Lush to make myself feel better. Unwise? Yes. Worth it? Oh so much yes

Definitely keep body butters out of the shower. In fact, I keep mine out of the shower even when I'm using them, and just reach out and grab them and use them out of the stream of water when I'm in the shower and then put them back out of the shower as I'm finishing. My Aqua Mirabillis lasts a looooong time that way.
Just like the soaps, you don't want to leave Buffy, Aqua Mirabilis, and You Snap out of the shower. I have a tub and shower combo. The shower has big slid-y doors and I stick things like coal face, jungle and other soaps and body butters up on top of the shower door frame. They are ok to stay there for keeps but I usually put them away.
If they are away from the water, you've got a good spot. The rise of the steam tho may cause problems, but with 4 other roomies using the same shower the rising moisture never hurts it...
I have a stainless-steel shower caddy (something like this one that's perfect for keeping Lush goodies close at hand but not sitting in puddles. Mine actually hangs in the corner wall behind my clawfoot tub, reachable through the shower curtain, so everything stays dry - but the ones that sit on the lip of a more conventional tub work pretty well, too.
I keep a small saucer on it for soap fragments, etc. that get small enough that they might fall between the wires.
