The French/English/German/Italian disease.

I've finally found a Pirates of the Caribbean fic that makes reference to that fact that Jack has several classic symptoms of tertiary syphalis. It's here:

I always feel rather sorry for Elizabeth/Norrington/Will in PotC fic. It's all fun and sexy games until the sores start showing up. Then it's only a ( Read more... )

Email prompted me to reopen a old account. Yes I have an LJ. Mostly full or surveys or diary entries. You can read back through some random moments. Now you have one with fic recs though I shall try to update more often.
DO HP fics godammit. I need more recs for them. Might try out some of these...though at the moment not my cuppa tea.

Loves,

Saz

Hi Saz! So, HP recs... I shall put some thought into that. Anything more specific? Short/long/character driven/all about Harry/Snape?

You should try some of the others though...

Hell not all harry/snape - I pretty much #dig# any hp as long as it is good. No one shots they piss me off. Cept for that letter from exile one...think that might be 2 chaps anyway.

Character driven no idea? What does that mean, yes i like characters. They don't have to be able to drive. As long as they can apparate.

Romance is good, dark is good, funny is good. You know me.

I've barely scratched the pock-marked surface. You should go here:

and read "Alchemical Prescription".

In fact, if you like gritty pirate smut, you should probably read the whole Impverse. Yes, I know it's crossover, but you'll get used to it. I'd never read anything by Neal Stephenson until I got hooked on Impverse, and I know I'm not the only one.

That bares further inspection... I'll have to get onto amazon and try for the first book. I read the prologue of 'Alechemical Prescription,' and anything with genital sores is alright with me! Though I assume Jack Sparrow is on the stage after that where they've healed up and he can continue spreading the clap among an unsuspecting public.

I'm loving your Tall Ship Tales by the way. You're Jack's really captivating, only in a way that doesn't stop him from being a believeable and falible character. Looking forward to the next one...

Glad you're enjoying Tall Ship Tales.

Have just realised there's only minor syphilis in Alchemical Prescription. But more genital sores than you can shake a stick a in the sequel, Second Opinion. You might want to go straight to that.
