Spreading butterbur

It started with a headache.

I was in that space where nothing was helping. Not the Neurontin my Neuro prescribed, not the large doses of Vicodin and especially not the Butalbital that I'd relied on for so many years. The headaches and nausea have been among the worst I have had in my life.

Trust me, butterbur will spread all by itself. *g*

Seriously, glad it helps. I've used coltsfoot (both European coltsfoot, tussilago farfara, and American coltsfoot, petasites frigidus) in tea form for the long-term persistent asthma-induced cough that sometimes follows chest colds for me, and it certainly worked promptly to cure that. However, I've since switched to elecampane root tincture because it's safer and doesn't produce a dry throat. I've never used butterbur, and I only use comfrey externally as a salve or poultice for joint pain.

Since DH gets migraines, I'll let him know about the butterbur. What brand of extract do you use?

Wow! Tons of good information here. I'd never even heard of Butterbur before. I'm glad it's helping you! Here's a random thought: have you ever considered going into/becoming an alternative health practitioner? I think you'd be amazing at it.
