This Newfangled Thing

A Canadian news report from 1993 about a revolutionary new service you might find familiar.

I love the nostalgic sound of the carrier and the blinding high-speed connection...

Wow! Nostalgia!

Still, I wish the OS I have now were as stable as that one back then! *longing sigh*

Credit creeping featurism. I have heard from folks who have seen the source code for Windoze that they just comment out old code. It never gets deleted out of the program. Yuck!

Messy messy. Just like my desk and my brain. You'd think we'd fit better, Windoze and myself. *sighs*

Okay, so I get the following message everytime I click on a you tube link now:

"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Get the latest flash player."

Problem is, JavaScript is enabled (or at least working in other applications/sites) and I've got the latest version of the flash player. Can you help me? How, exactly, does one turn JavaScript on and off?

Are you running Firefox? If so - go in under Preferences => Web Features and you can enable java at different levels. You might also have to enable pop-ups for YouTube. I don't know why, but certain sites won't work unless you enable popups. Dumb.
