The concept of a holiday for recognizing children is nearly unthinkable to me as an American. "Children's Day"??? What day isn't? I'm still not sure why Korean society sees a need to set aside one day a year to treat kids. Compared to American kids these kids are doted on, indulged. I was cheering for you as I read that story. He cuts you off, you push him into traffic. Not nice, but I suspect the people in the cars behind you were cheering too. Cheaters don't win in the long run, and he didn't confront you because that would risk getting his precious car smashed by oncoming traffic.

it definitely was not nice, and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. however, i cannot deny i felt (devilishly) good about it. i really miss that car sometimes.. i don't miss the gas mileage though (10 mpg on a good day)... now that i think about it.. i'm second-guessing it was a '78, but there was no difference in the '78 and '79 except that i think the '79 had a different engine... man my memory is bad sometimes... and now i'm just reminiscing and babbling, haha... this is why Stephanie calls me Old Man... well, one of the reasons anyway...

Yeah, I'm glad you told the ajumma off. What nerve of her.

I was laughing about the monkey. That kid is lucky it all it did was slap him and not hurl crap at him. Once my cousin got monkey poo chucked at him for simply pulling a face the monkey didn't like.

I did enjoy your pictures very much!
