If you're a woman and you don't like Sarah Palin, its because you're a petty bitch.

Ah, women, the consistently, tragically underestimated constituency. What the Democrats learned during the primaries and the Republicans might now be finding out the hard way, I learned at my very academic, well-regarded all-girls high school: that is never to ( Read more... )

That's right up there with saying that the only reason Obama can lose is racism.

Man, this race has made everyone way to uptight and hysterical on both sides.

Man, this race has made everyone way too uptight and hysterical on both sides.

I beg to differ. Considering McCain's health history, it is extremely likely that Palin will assume the Presidency in the next 4 years if the Republicans take the White House again. I believe that my concern that Palin is completely unfit for the position (due to gross lack of experience and an apparent history of mismanagement) is entirely justified.

I don't consider myself uptight. I'll concede, though, that I may become hysterical if Palin actually becomes President...

And beliving that she doesn't have enough experience to be VP is a valid concern (though her total experience is on par with Obama's, so I'm not sure how you can make that arguement and still vote for him).

Look- you don't agree with her positions- on abortion, on government, on taxes, on foreign affairs. Fine. It's a perfectly legitimate reason not to vote for McCain or Palin. I won't be voting for Obama because I don't agree with his positions.

But I've seen so many stupid and outlandish attacks on the characters of Obama, McCain, and Palin. Every day it's a new attack that's not just trying to say that one of the candidates isn't just taking the country in a wrong direction, but is outright stupid or evil...

It's on both sides

I guess that my real issue is your saying that *EVERYBODY* is too uptight. I don't consider myself to be overly uptight over the situation, and I know quite a few pundits that are making rational and appropriate comments about the candidates.

I'll concede that the mass media is more than happy to promote the views of the really nasty & uptight folks out there, in the name of sensationalism. But that's not "everybody".

PS -- I didn't say I was voting for Obama. Believe me, I'm not happy with his lack of experience, either. I just might vote a "third party" candidate this year...
