I always thought that people who liked dressing up as Storm Troopers were saying something about their inner totalitarian or a yen to be part of the establishment (at least once that seemed to have trains running on time despite planetary genocide.)
Wasn't that the point of the documentary that floated about a few years ago about a SW fan who'd wanted his son involved/excited about cons and costumes and then pulled his hair out when his son decided the thing that excited him most -was- the storm troopers?
