For what I hope (but I know will not) be the last time.

COMICS IS NOT A GENRE.

IT IS A MEDIUM.

Super-heroes, mystery, noir, fantasy, romance, etc ARE GENRES.

Comics, books, film, etc ARE MEDIUMS.

PLEASE LEARN THE DIFFERENCE.

I have actually heard an argument that comics are a genre, in that they have generic conventions, tropes, etc (the stuff of the technical definition of a genre) as well as a medium (a format for communication).

Same case is also made for film as both genre and medium (i.e.: the conventions of film genre)

i think, in this case, YMMV
