I'm just rewatching Breaking Bad now, and I'm always struck by how badly Fring misreads Walt and Jesse.

"You can never trust a drug addict" - yeah, but what Gus won't realise for a long time yet is that Walt *is* a drug addict, and he will do *anything* for another hit of Pride.

And yes, watching Hank work gets really fascinating as the series goes on and his bravado gets more and more strained. It's not clear in the first episodes how much of Hank's affable racist meathead act is an ACT, but the fact that there's a real person behind the cop *and* a real brain in the head starts showing through, hard, as the series goes on.

(Have you seen S4 and S5 before? I don't want to mention anything from them because I'm not sure how far into 4 you are or if you've seen 5)

1st time watching the series. I'm only 1 episode into S5 so far.
