Followed up April's reading of all the "Ring of Fire" anthologies with rereading the shared world novels for the series in May. Starting with Eric Flint's 1632 and then Flint and David Weber's 1633 and 1634: The Baltic War...

As for Knight's series, it's just too nihilistic and fucking doomed for me to really get into, and that's said as a staunch fan of post-apocalyptic fiction. Humanity's screwed, they just keep getting more screwed with each book, and to top it all off the Main character's a massive idiot/hypocrite.

Legion of the damned has human-alien interbreeding, which offends my scientific sensibilities, and was fairly prdictable after 3 books. I just lost interest.

Anyway, you like a series where the protagonist is psychic, has hard evidence of the fact that vampires are slavering mass-murderers, and still continues to buy the whole, "misunderstood angsty dark angels" line. Don't judge me!
