Bookmark it is! Any prererence on colour/style? I've just finished a Slytherin Keyring for camillo1978 which has worked out quite well, but I'll have a go at anything.
Kathy Reichs also wrote the tv series "bones", using the same main character as in her books, though she made a few changes for the tv. There are, I think, 10 books in the series so far, and they are very good, if a little technical at times.
Robin McKinley mainly writes for the teenaged market, and has done several re-workings of traditional fairytales. Sunshine, and possibly Deerskin, are for the adult market, and I thoroughly enjoyed both of them.
I suppose the recommendation depends on your mood - if you are for excapism, go for McKinley, for gritty real-life, go for Reichs.
I love the Bones series! I didn't realize that the show was a spin-off of a book. I'll have to look for these the next time I am at the bookstore. Thanks for the recommendations.

I've never read either author that you've mentioned. would you recommend one over the other? I'm always looking for someone new to read!
