This isn't just an Aussie thing! We've got 'em here in the US and I positively hate the things. And not annoying, but please tell me why some folks seem to feel that their lights also require little tiny wiper blades to keep the rain off?

If you could write an open letter next to awful neighbors, that would be lovely.

My neighbours are all quite nice, apart from when they reposition their wireless broadband box and completely fuck up our remote central locking and garage doors. They were also very nice about moving it back to its previous position.

The fog lights thing really annoys me - its stopped raining now, but I know that on my way home there will still be bright red lights everywhere. Grr. I think they need the wipers for the same reason they need the fog lamps in the rain - obviously rain makes everyone blind, so if the lights get wet we won't be able to see them even though they are brighter than the sun.
