So, I'm doing NaNoWriMo, for those of you who don't know this already. Goodness knows my roommate does. I just can't seem to shut up about word counts and pacing and where I want the story to be. I'm probably driving her nuts. So, I thought I'd post here. It's been going really, really well. I've written at least 2000 words each day so far and

Go you. You are totally ahead of me. And I have to admit, I tend to ramble about my wordcount and pacing to just about anyone who will listen. I'm getting to a difficult part of my story, because I have reached the part of the story that is actually covered by the Disney version and I really, really don't want to draw too much from that, but at the same time it was my biggest inspiration for the Mad Queen. I am trying to get a fix on where I want to go so I can get there without recycling scenes from the movie. And also I worry that my Mad Queen isn't coming across as mad enough, or evil enough, or she is too distant from the reader and she isn't going to affect them the way I want her to. *sighs*
