I love the dimension of the working woman here, how Lureen and Jack are kind of convenient for each other, neither caring a shit about the other. but still they both DO have lives and feeling and aspirations

anyways thats what I got from this.

ooc: yeah, I was trying to give an inside look at the life and thoughts of both a working woman and a woman working in a man's field. My point is that I do think Lureen has done exceptional things, just not exceptional things in her marriage, but that that's a small part of her. If you notice, every woman has a similarly bored man. That's these womens' lives. They've put their dreams before their families, and that's neither right or wrong, but it is a different culture from the traditional Alma-centric female role, which is why I love Lureen so much. That's what I was hoping to capture, that trade-off in her life, and how satisfied she is with the choice she'd made.

...the wings of her hair flying to to newly-discovered blond heights...

Hahaha.

I'm getting a little repetitive, aren't I? Well, I love this one too :) I think you covered the working woman vs. home maker angle very well; to make it in her business Lureen would have had to do a hell of a lot of work and never let up, because the second she let up, someone would swoop in and try to take it all away from her, I think. She got lucky in that Jack wasn't ambitious or malicious, didn't want to take the company from her or anything like that. I could see him being bored at this, though, definitely.

ooc: Thanks. I think the businesswoman side of Lureen is so neglected in our fandom :( She is an amazing businesswoman.
