Characters: Luke/Allison, Luke/Reid
Disclaimer: As the World Turns and it's characters are not mine, no matter how much I enjoy playing with them. :)
Summary: Luke has a bad dream.
Author's Note: I take no credit for the insanity to follow. You all can blame
eimeark for this. Way back in the early chapters of Fate, Reid mistakenly believed that Allison and Luke were engaged. The conversation we had after that chapter resulted in a "What if" scenario, that somehow ended up with me promising her a Luke/Allison fic. E, This is the best I can do, so I hope it's what you wanted. ILY, BB. :)
He’s never been attracted to a girl before. He doesn’t know what to do about it.
All he knows is that when she smiles, he wants to smile.
When the sunlight hits her hair, he wants to touch it.
These feelings are alien to him, unfamiliar. He’s only ever wanted men this way.
But there she is. Smiling and blond and sweet.
They’ve been friends forever, and he’s been so focused on things going on in his life that the next time he sees her, the feelings completely take him by surprise.
He can’t believe this has happened. It’s turned his whole world upside down.
He knows she’s noticed the way he’s looking at her, but he can’t seem to help himself. She never says anything about it, but just smiles sweetly at him.
One night, they’re out on the hospital roof together. Just talking, laughing, and catching up on old times. She talks about Casey and he talks about Noah, and it’s so comfortable.
She moves to head back inside, and trips - he thinks accidentally - and he catches her before she hits the ground. She’s embarrassed, smiling her thanks. His breath catches in his throat and then next thing he knows he’s kissing her.
“What the hell?!?” Luke sat up straight in bed. His heart is beating fast, and disbelief is written all over his face.
“What’s wrong?” Reid mumbles sleepily, feeling Luke shift in the bed.
“Just…just a weird dream.” Luke rolls over and looks down at Reid. “That is the last time I eat one of your sandwiches before bed.”
“My sandwiches are not to blame.” Reid murmured, rolling over to face him. “It’s your brain.”
“Thanks.”
“Want to tell me about it?”
“No.”
“You can’t say I didn’t ask.” Reid said, reaching out and pulling Luke closer to him. He kissed him soundly, pushing Luke onto his back.
“What are you doing?” Luke asked with a smile.
“Taking your mind off things.” He said, sliding his hand down Luke’s chest. Luke’s breathing increased the farther south his hand went. “You know,” Reid continued with a smirk. “Since you’re up.”
