Alright everyone, I have a very important request for you all! I'm highly considering writing a LuRe movie AU, but I'm unsure what movie I want to base it on, so I need your opinions on what you would like to see most. Is there anything you've been dying to see written ATWT style? Would you rather read a comedy, horror, romance, drama, tearjerker,

Gone with the Wind - Dosen't even need to be period, just needs Luke using Reid too save his money, and then realizing he's in love with him, when it is too late

Also, I totally second the "You've got mail" and "Speed" ideas

Princess Bride! You could really have fun casting other Oakdalians in the supporting parts, and the overcoming death for true love theme would serve them well I think!

Hmmmm...this is a good one. There are lots of movies that would fit LuRe.

I love Just Like Heaven with Reese Witherspoon. Luke takes an apartment in Texas but it's already occupied with spiritReid who thinks Luke is an intruder. And they fall in love :D

Another one is French Kiss with Meg Ryan. Luke may be running after The Douche and encounters jerkRreid in the plane. They have lovely adventures...doesn't have to be France.

And my favorite Austen...Persuasion (other than P&P). Yeah it's a novel but there are a couple of movies of it as well. Luke rejects Reid and he leaves. But Luke never got over him and Reid comes back years later. True love prevails!

I second FRENCH KISS! But mostly because I fell in love with Kevin Kline in that role.............and his name was "Luc!" But I guess Luke would actually be the Meg Ryan character and Noah the douchy Timothy Hutton character.

Awesome ideas! Just a tiny FYI...I am currently writing a 'You've Got Mail' style LuRe fic for the Big Bang but it is a little different to the movie since I've only used the concept of it but you're totally welcome to write a proper adaptation...I can't stop you from doing that but I thought I should just let you know! :)

I hope it's okay for me to throw in some ideas...I was thinking of a 27 Dresses AU with Luke who has a TON of friends who ask him to be their groomsman or something and Reid is the journalist.

And maybe 'The Wedding Planner' AU where Luke is the planner and Reid the man getting married?!

I think I may have to rifle through my DVDS for more ideas but I hope they helped! :D

OH! I love the idea of 'French Kiss' a great movie. So sweet and funny. And... since I love Meg Ryan, how about 'Addicted to Love'?? Reid and Luke spying on their lost loves only to fall for eachother.

Also how many of you know Meg Ryan stared in ATWT a looong time ago?
She played Betsy Stewart Montgomery Andropolous from 82-84. Geez I'm OLD!!;)
