Wow, this took forever! Sorry if it seemed like I forgot about this one; actually, it was the agony of dialogue that JUST WOULDN'T COME TOGETHER. Just one darn scene, and I think I've finally wrestled it into submission. Hope this doesn't disappoint!

This is such an interesting and well-written story and I'm all tadpoles and dancing cows to see you post another chapter! I'm sorry it was so difficult to write, but I must say all your hard work paid off. Brilliant chapter! You're doing such a great job of realistically portraying the guys' emotional responses to a situation that is literally impossible, while keeping it grounded (!) in soap opera land too. And with both of them in character. Pretty amazing! :)

I gotta say, I LOVE the parallel to the lawsuit: you know, Luke pretending then that it was all about Noah, and pretending now that it's all about the old Reid.
