“My dad?”

“Bad Dad would probably be my cellmate,” Reid said with a snort.

Luke slapped Reid’s shoulder. “I meant my dad.”

“Ow, Snyder, you have a strong fist,” Reid said, rubbing his shoulder. “Yeah, I guess Holden’s okay.”

“My mom?”

“She’ll be crying more than Katie. But I wouldn’t want her anywhere near that place, especially not in the, um, dresses she wears,” Reid said, looking down.

Luke laughed. “Have you been staring at my mom’s breasts?”

“Who doesn’t stare at them?” Reid said, laughing. He then patted the side of Luke’s neck as he turned serious. “You know I’m just kidding. I like your mom

Reid remained silent for a few seconds before looking at Luke. “But you’d help me break out, right, if I ever went to prison?”

“I’d bend the steel bars myself.

Happy "sigh" and for some reason the phrase "Who loves you baby?" comes to mind and please don't ask me why:-))

Aw, they're so sweet. But I have to say that I gasped in the beginning, thinking, "why is Reid going to prison?! Reid will never survive prison!!" Lol. Thanks so much for sharing. :)

Actually, I think Reid would do well in prison...he'd pull a House and work in the infirmary, and either out talk/smart everyone, or just drop the name Grimaldi whenever in doubt. You know Damian would protect him for Luke, until Lucinda arranged the prison escape (Bobbo would totally help) ... Come to think of it, dropping Lucinda's name might be the better way to go...

In the soap 'verse I totally agree (and I love the idea that Luke would get Damian to use his seedier connections to protect Reid), but I guess I was thinking in the Oz 'verse (which isn't fair because not everyone has seen it/even knows what it is). In Oz everyone is guilty of something, and for those who've never seen it, there is a point when even the everyman character crosses the line between survival and murder. Reid seems to live by a pretty set moral code, add into the mix his mild OCD, and his claustrophobia, and I'm just not sure he could hack it. But that's just my opinion. :)

I can see your point, and I have passing familiarity with OZ, but since no mention of OZ, or even any specific prison was mentioned, I assumed this was a hypothetical conversation. If its hypothetical, I assume it happens in the ATWT universe. If it had started with 'so if you were locked up in OZ, you know the tv show, what would you do" I'd have a very different take, I agree. However, that's not how I went into it...but you raise a good point, reread the above story with the opening line "So Reid, if you were serving time:"

Good thing they've got this worked out because, yes, this is Oakdale, and Reid will be in the pokey for something or another sooner or later! (Probably accused of murder...I think most males in Oakdale were on trial for that charge at least a few times each! Of course they always got off, usually after a very dramatic courtroom scene when the real murderer was named! However, as budgets shrank, there were fewer trial attendees...at Holden's last murder trial, his own mother didn't even show up until the last day or so and none of his siblings bothered! Sorry, I'm rambling here...) Great job!

Ha, that's what I was thinking too. I guess more than half of Oakdale has spent some time in that prison cell...

Oh, Sleeper, this was all so wonderful! LuRe on the couch or on the bed, or wherever, in each other's arms 'talking about nothing and anything' - that's what I love so much :) And the things they say... love it!
