“You want to finish our meal in here or in the living room?” Luke asked as he and Reid walked into their kitchen. Luke spread out the to-go bags on the table ( ... )

Ah poor Reid.

He is working so hard to make memorial the best hospital it can be. Not even thinking about talking about the weather and chit chat with his staff. He is busy saving lives.

To bad people cant see the great man Reid is even tough he does not ask about their weekends. I hope they figure it out or Reid just cares less and let them work al the holliday and weekend shifts.

Thank you for this story while you are also working on the bet.

Yeah, he's all about work but it might do him some good to get to know the employees a bit more--well, that's if he wants to get invited to parties and such. Ha ha

My heart was bleeding for Reid but he's Luke, right? The way Luke tried to cheer Reid up - adorable and so sweet!

Luke felt bad but Reid felt worse. But I think once the staff gets to know him more, he'll be invited too. :)

“They could be planning to kidnap me, Luke,” Reid said, squeezing Luke’s hand. “You don’t want me to disappear tomorrow, do you?”

I've been waiting for this.
And this.

“I knew you were gonna say that. So, I have to ask them about their . . . personal lives?”

And all the other lines.

Poor Reid. Wonderful Luke.
Thank you. So much.

Btw, guess I've missed the first part of It's a Bet, looks like I've got some digging to do :)

Ha ha, this would make for a good story. He's kidnapped by some staff who's had enough of him. Ah, poor Reid.

Thank you for reading!

That's what you get from staying in Oakdale...

I like this very much. I love how Luke manages to get Reid to talk about his feelings and help him sort things out. So sweet!

Only Luke can get Reid talking like this. Thanks for reading!

Poor Reid.

It's like that episode where he overheard the nurses talking about him and looked hurt.

Luke needs to give him a big hug!

Right? Our poor misunderstood Reid.

But he does tend to be an ass at times. Lol.

Yes, I thought about that episode while writing this. He can pretend he doesn't care but you just know he does.

Luke will give him a hug and MORE!

Thanks for reading!

I just love how you write these two, and oh the uncomfortable situation and Luke having to go in and see what was going on. Sometimes Reid is like the kid who is always picked last for teams...and he acts like he doesn't care when he does and it hurts but he keeps his brave face.

Luke was right. Reid did care; otherwise, it wouldn’t hurt so much being the odd man out. “Fine, I’ll try.”

Lovely, sweetie, just lovely<3

Yes! Poor, poor Reid. He was always the loner, the lonely guy until Luke came along.

Thanks!
