Luke knew Reid Oliver was a big deal.
That’s why he’d been Noah’s one and only hope to see. That’s why he’d had a year-long waiting list in Dallas. That’s why Bob had wanted to keep him on staff the moment he saw him in Memorial’s corridor and would be voting for him for Chief of Staff in a few weeks. And that’s why the Snyder Pavilion, open for the past month and a half, was set to become the best neurological center in the country.
But Luke didn’t know just how important Reid was until he saw it firsthand.
It was two months after Reid successfully obtained the heart for Chris and exactly one month after Reid and Luke consummated their relationship. Reid was invited to be the featured speaker at a surgeon’s conference in Philadelphia.
