Mirror, Mirror

Reid opened his eyes and smiled. Since arriving in Oakdale months ago, Reid never smiled when he awoke and remembered he was still stuck in this nightmare town.

On a few mornings, he almost smiled, especially when he’d had another pleasant dream about a certain somebody. But the almost smile always disappeared as soon as he realized that it was just a dream and that the man in his dreams would never be his in real life.

Today, though, was a different morning and a different day.

Reid’s smile grew wider as he turned around to look at the other side of his bed.

And his smile vanished. There was nobody lying next to him. Reid rubbed his eyes. Had he imagined it all? Had he simply dreamed it all? He pushed the covers off him and saw he was naked. Reid didn’t sleep naked often. Actually, he only slept naked when he got laid. So then . . . it wasn’t a dream, right?

But then where the hell is he? Reid thought as he stood, noticing the clothes he wore the night before strewn all over the room

Them making each other smile. (Or that is what my mind is showing me when I read this)

“Probably?”
“Definitely,” Luke answered.

Yes, the vulnerable Reid waiting to get shot down...oh it always broke my heart when he was like this waiting for that other shoe to drop and Luke to go back to Noah..silly, silly man at least Luke set him straight.

Vulnerable!Reid is great to write but hard to read. Here, though, he ain't got nothing to worry about because he's got Luke finally. :)
