The Rescue

“How’d you know where to find me?”

Reid threw his car keys onto the table and ran a hand through his hair as he sat down. “I didn’t. I volunteered to drive around and look for you simply to get away from your mother’s hysterics. So I drove around and ended up here.” He eyed the bag of marshmallows before focusing on the person in front of him again. “What’s wrong?”

“Parker is going to New York to see Liberty.”

“The ex, not the statue, right?” Reid asked.

“Yeah,” Faith answered, trying to hide a smile, as she tapped her finger on the Hershey’s bar in front of her.

Reid glanced around them. He’d been to the Walsh cabin once before with Luke and had been surprised that he hadn’t hated it. The cabin was cozy, warm and comforting, and Reid suddenly wondered why they hadn’t been back since.

“Are you gonna say anything?” Faith asked.

“You mean about how ridiculous you’re acting because your boyfriend is going to visit his ex-girlfriend?”

Always nice to see Reid and Faith interact. Reid's love for food is endless, as is his love for Luke!

I loved this! I always enjoy Reid-Faith bonding stores. I liked how he used his own relationship experience/insecurities to help give her some perspective.
