Long overdue horse and barn update.

The flu that I've had for going on three weeks now is FINALLY pretty much gone. Still a bit of manky-ness in my throat, but my energy level is finally increasing. It turns out I may have actually had walking pneumonia because apparently someone I was around right before getting sick had it, though they didn't tell me. Balls ( Read more... )

Glad she's doing well. I love the way that you talk about your girl. :)

Herdbounness is such a pain to deal with. I've seen horses carry on for hours when they can't get back to their buddies. When the other horses encourage it, it is just that much harder.

I hope you get get your own place soon! (hint: come get your own place down in Colorado!)

I think her herd-boundness is a symptom of me being gone for so long (ie. only visiting once a week). It's much improved already, she just gets screamy when she's in her pen all alone and the other horses are still down the street in the pasture; I was able to walk with her on the trails yesterday and she wasn't concerned about where her buddies were... just where the evil attack dog was.

Land is probably cheaper in Colorado, right? Oregon land still seems fairly cheap to me, but my base line is California so...
