There are two men: One is a cop who is undercover in the mob, the other is a mob guy undercover in the police force. They spend the entire movie lying to everybody and by the end of the movie they are both dead, along with just about everybody else. And

I lost what little interest I had in seeing that movie when I found it that it's basically a Hollywood remake of a Hong Kong gangster movie called Infernal Affairs. (But why is *Scorsese* remaking HK movies? That's the part I don't get...)
