Pet peeve: When people say "literally", but that's not what they mean. Same for "in every sense of the word" and similar expressions. Man, I hope I never do this off handedly unless I'm being silly, because it's really annoying

I've given up. I am now resigned to the fact that "literally" means "figuratively" now, most of the time.
