Loved the complicated mistakes that Charles and Erik made, and then the hard-earned communication. I especially loved Erik divulging that bit about seeing a beautiful, happy submissive being attracted to the idea of having someone trust him that much. It's good for him to say out-loud what he gets from the dynamic, even if Charles has probably heard and felt it anyway.

Sean's purple platypus was funny but it was Angel's What the fuck? that made the joke. I may have gigglesnorted. Same with Charles reconsidering being in love when Erik tries to hand-feed him. Poor Charles ;-) But he should have been more careful!

Definitely complicated mistakes! It's not as simple as Charles wanting to endanger himself and Erik saying no (though of course that's true too--but Erik's being less than a good Dom by not allowing the discussion); Charles has good reasons for wanting to jump back in (partly *for* Erik) and he does know how his own head is feeling, and knows it's not THAT bad, the next morning. But of course Erik's right too about martyrdom and Charles's tendencies--and they're both right about Charles being submissive only when he wants to be, which kind of defeats the purpose. (They're working on compromises. It's a process.)

Oh, yay!! That was one of the very late additions--I had a hard time getting them up off the floor, done talking, and back into the space where they could have the sex (which I think they did need--reestablishing the roles). And I was thinking, well, what does Erik get out ( ... )
