So...really I'm kind of out of (writing, at least) the Steve/Tony camp at this point, but talking to penguingal reminded me that I did have this pretty much done, and it seemed a shame to waste it. So, have some conversations and a first kiss.

I haven't read a lot of Tony/Steve fic (I honestly haven't read a lot of Avengers fic, at least not post-movie, I read some before the movie came out, I did it backwards, I always do. I did the same thing with XMFC too.) This was definitely adorable. And totally them. I could hear it in the movie!verse voices in my head. (Natasha is the only Avengers related icon I currently have. I really need to get more/new icons).

I've read...some. One of the friends who initially got me into fandom was (is? I think she's still around though not writing much) a huge Steve/Tony shipper, so I had some early exposure. I think my brain only has room to be enthusiastic about 1-2 fandoms at a time, though, and at the moment it's still XMFC and McFassy!

This I could hear it in the movie!verse voices in my head.
...makes me super-happy! Because I do love the dialogue. And I think I always 'hear' Tony as RDJ, these days. Steve is harder. But partly I was worried that the very end of this one might feel disconnected, since that was what got added on before posting--so, yay, reassurance! :-p

I have...a few Avengers icons. Not too many, but enough for how often I use them, I think? Feel free to look through them, just give credit (none of them're made by me, obvs.) if you want any! :-)

I do ship Steve/Tony, but I also have a fondness for Tony/Bruce.
I've recently realized that I've basically buried myself in McFassy and even if I wanted to leave the fandom I don't know if I could because I don't have a backup fandom. I'm sort of stuck I guess. It's either McFassy or nothing at all. Too many other fandoms scare me or have reached a level of angry/crazy/something else entirely that has frightened me away.

I've read a couple of fics that didn't sound like either of them and this one definitely did. I think it helps that I've seen a lot of interviews especially, but other things that show why these actors are these characters even off screen.

I think I will have a peek through your icons sometime since you have so many fabulous ones and I have no idea where else to look these days for ones. And of course, will always credit. :D

The Avengers actually kind of killed my Steve/Tony pairing, in a way, because they ALL worked so well together--and Mark Ruffalo was so GOOD as Bruce--that I couldn't pick out any single pairing to adore!

This Too many other fandoms scare me or have reached a level of angry/crazy/something else entirely that has frightened me away.
...is kind of why I'm out of SPN fandom--well, that and losing a level of enthusiasm for the show itself--these days. Those people get so DRAMATIC. I'm hoping McFassy sticks around, even if we are a relatively small group. We're all so NICE! :D

I think sometimes Steve is hard to write--or harder for me than Tony, anyway. I can do flippancy, but it's harder to write good old-fashioned earnestness without having it sound unrealistic, perhaps.

Oh, go for it! I always credit if I know the source. Should be true for almost all of them. (If it's one of Evil Demon Cat, or if it doesn't specify otherwise, it's made by

Thank you! :-) They really are adorable when they talk. I'm pretty sure I could just write dialogue for them, and be happy. Glad you liked!

Rereading this one did remind me how much I like writing dialogue for them! I still don't know if I'll go back to them--no exciting ideas at the moment--but I'm glad I finished this one. And glad you liked! I was hoping the very end didn't feel disconnected, since that was the part that got added on. :-)

That was great :) Not so much a Tony/Steve shipper, but I'm always willing to be convinced! And I could very much hear their voices in this - especially Tony's flippancy and sarcasm.

Yeah...one of the friends who first got me into fandom was a Tony/Steve shipper, so I kind of had that as part of my mental landscape for a while, but it doesn't...excite my writing muse in the way that other pairings do, I suppose. (This may be partly a consequence of The Avengers, which felt so well-balanced that it was hard to ship anyone with any one other person!) But I figured, I had this scene at least more or less done, and I still liked it when I read it over, so...

And I could very much hear their voices in this - especially Tony's flippancy and sarcasm.

Always a fantastic compliment, you know! Dialogue is such fun. Especially Tony's, because the sarcasm is fun to write. :-)

D'awwwww that was adorable! And I love your dialogue, particularly Stark's snark.

...Stark's snark.

Awesome alliteration, ahoy! *grin* Glad you liked! I've sort of moved away from writing them, so I'm pleased that their voices still come through clearly. Tony's dialogue IS always fun. :-)
