...today is the 45th anniversary of the first episode of Star Trek! Thanks to all who have been involved with Trek, in any way, for the decades of passion and inspiration. The world would not be the same without you, and it would be the poorer for it.

Yep, forty-five years! And still such a compelling universe. Fantastic.

...must go read some Trek novels now. Probably Diane Carey's Best Destiny, which is still among my favorites.
